This advertisement will stay up until the position is filled.The Office of Admissions at Santa Fe College (SF) facilitates open access by assisting students through the admissions application and related processes for successful enrollment.
The Office of Admissions is seeking an Admissions Processing Support Specialist to work primarily on reviewing and processing applications for admission to SF. This position works as part of a team to review and evaluate applications for compliance to Florida statutes, accurately processing student records, and maintaining records. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Include:

May provide support activities for the Office of Admissions such as answering telephones, assisting in the preparation for special events, scheduling appointments or assisting students, college employees and the public by responding to concerns/inquiries and providing some front-line level of resolution while making appropriate referrals as necessary.

Assists students with application and enrollment processes; provides department specific aid and eligibility guidance, as appropriate; responds independently and collaboratively to processing-related inquiries.

Reviews, evaluates, and processes college admissions documents necessary for admission to SF, including applications, test scores, Florida residency documents and high school transcripts, ensuring the highest degree of accuracy, determining authenticity of documents, and determining compliance with state and federal laws.

Provides quality control of admissions documents.

Compiles and tracks student records and data including books, test charts, evaluations, enrollment, registration, graduation, certifications, and accreditations.

Calls and emails students who are having trouble showing high school completion and suggests options for demonstrating the equivalence of completion.

Assists other SF staff members at SF campuses/centers regarding processing applications.

Communicates, collaborates, and maintains relationships with internal and external community constituents.

Strictly honors the privacy, security and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies and procedures.

Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.

Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Coordinator, Admissions, Advising, and Processing
QUALIFICATIONS
Required: High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of related work experience or completed education equal to two (2) years.
Preferred: Knowledge of college admissions procedures and fluency in one or more foreign languages.
