  • About

Gainesville Opportunity Center (GOC) is a nonprofit organization that helps adults living with mental illness build meaningful, independent lives. We provide a welcoming community where Members work side by side with colleagues to build confidence, develop skills, form friendships, and pursue employment, education, and personal goals. Our evidence-based program focuses on each person’s strengths and abilities while providing practical support for recovery. GOC helps Members reconnect with the community, reduce isolation, return to work or school, and build a greater sense of purpose and belonging. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to contribute, be valued, and build a life filled with purpose. GOC is accredited by Clubhouse International and has served the Gainesville community since 2007.
