Manufacturing Technician 1

2. Summary
The Manufacturing Technician 1 assists in the preparation for production runs, may assist in production runs, and assists with maintenance of records in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Policies. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor, and requires a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

3. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
• Perform and document autoclaving activities.
• Perform and document laboratory and cleanroom cleanings.
• Prepare materials needed for production runs.
• May assist in processing necessary to produce and assess products.
• Proficiently function within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment, ensuring personal safety and product sterility.
• Prepare samples for shipment to appropriate third-party laboratory testing facilities.
• Consistently produce accurate and clear documentation of all procedures.
• Maintain required training and certifications.
• Help maintain the organization standards of the laboratory.
• Assist with other duties or special projects as required by Neobiosis from time to time in its sole discretion.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Applicable experience in cGMP setting, laboratory and/or sterile processing is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to think strategically and tactically (detail-oriented) and possess analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong collaborative and influencing skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Effective multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with shifting priorities and with tight deadlines.

5. Education
Bachelor’s degree in biologics or related field preferred.

6. Work Environment

• This position requires initiative, leadership, collaboration, working independently with minimal supervision, and being a team player.
• May be exposed to infectious diseases transmittable through human blood, tissues, or bodily fluids.
• Must have the ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods of time while wearing full PPE and maintaining sterile work environment.
• Must have the ability to work with specialized lab equipment.
