Description

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Cellular Therapies Administrative Assistant in Gainesville, FL. This position is an excellent opportunity for learning and growth. It will offer challenging projects in addition to routine daily tasks, all of which will need to be accomplished with an equal attitude of importance and timeliness. Set in a fast-paced executive office environment, this position is part of a small team of support staff who share overall administrative duties while also working independently in specialized roles.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as a liaison between the Director of Cellular Therapies and other executives as well as other managers/departments
- Handle internal and external communication on behalf of the Director of Cellular Therapies and maintain and organize their calendar, meetings and travel schedules
- Process and track expense reports and reimbursements
- May manage and implement special projects, as assigned
- Provide support for quarterly Board of Directors meetings and Committee meetings
- Prepare and assemble reports, documents and other publications, as appropriate


Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required
- Valid driver’s license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements
- Proven leadership skills and self-confidence
- Analytic and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work with travel logistics, scheduling and meeting management
- Presentation and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Professional office experience (internships will be considered) preferred
- Extensive project management experience, including: organizational skills, ability to prioritize, coordinate with others and meet deadlines preferred
