SALARY: $18.00 - $18.50 Hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited two or four year college or university; or at a technical school taking college level courses in environmental science, ecology, urban planning, agriculture, engineering, water resources, economics, business, law. Successful completion of criminal history background investigation is required prior to employment. **UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT $18.00/HOUR** **GRADUATE STUDENT $18.50/HOUR**
Position Summary:
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) Office of Resiliency intern will work closely with EPD staff, program collaborators and community partners to advance the County's Climate Initiatives, finalize the draft of the Alachua County Climate Action Plan CAP), and organize and deliver a 2025 Alachua County Climate "Festival" in mid-November. Academic focus areas (e.g., environmental science, ecology, urban planning, agriculture, engineering, water resources, economics, business, law) who are committed to advancing local climate solutions. This intern position will be focused primarily on the event planning for the Climate Festival, so we are seeking candidates with an interest in local climate issues who also have strong organizational, outreach, communication, and collaboration skills.
