DESCRIPTION:The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and City of Gainesville announced that they are partnering to launch the Gainesville Small Business Growth Task Force to promote small business growth in the City of Gainesville.  On Wednesday\, November 6\, 2013 at 5:30pm\, Gainesville Area Chamber\, City of Gainesville and business community representatives will discuss small business growth and implementation of the Chamber's Small Business Growth Report recommendations\, which were released in June 2013.\n\n	The first Task Force meeting will take place at the Alachua County Library Headquarters\, Meeting Room A\, 4th Floor at 401 East University Avenue\, Gainesville\, FL 32601. This event is free and open to the public.  Task Force members will discuss small business growth recommendations submitted to the City which involved the following six principles:  Accessibility\, Accountability\, Simplicity\, Consistency\, Affordability\, and Efficiency.\n\n	The Gainesville Small Business Growth Task Force is Co-Chaired by The Honorable Ed Braddy\, Mayor of the City of Gainesville\, and Tim Giuliani\, President & CEO of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce & Council for Economic Outreach.  Task Force members will be representatives from City of Gainesville government staff and the business community. \n\n	The Gainesville Area Chamber submitted 27 recommendations to the City of Gainesville in June 2013 as part of its Small Business Growth Report\, which resulted from a gathering of over 130 small business owners\, elected officials\, city government staff and interested citizens in May 2013.
